The ability to achieve excellent cosmetic results in a short period of time is the result of a combination of cosmetic training, new protocols based on studies on aesthetic perceptions and orthodontic technology. High Speed BracesTM are safe and affordable alternative to other forms of treatment for both adults and teens.
The special brackets used for this technique are different than the traditional versions which use elastics to hold the wire in place. The brackets use low friction clasps which are believed by many to allow for much more rapid tooth movement, with greater comfort. The technique is often faster but it is not designed for every situation. HSB dentists choose their cases carefully to ensure patients have the highest success rates possible. If your situation would best be served with a different treatment option they will help explain this. Some situations are best served by a referral to an orthodontist who is a specialist trained to treat more complex situations (for example those patients that also require jaw surgery in conjunction with their braces).
The High Speed Braces technique involves a combination of skills combined to achieve a more attractive smile. It is not simply about doing braces treatment faster, it involves advanced training in cosmetic dentistry and re constructive treatment planning along with the orthodontic treatment.
This ability to provide multiple levels of care may be an advantage for the patient when the situation involves both cosmetic and orthodontic needs. We call this multi-level skill "cross-training", and dentists who use this technique often use many different skills to give you the smile you deserve.
This is not to imply that our treatment results using HSB are superior to those of another practitioner using another technique. There are many alternatives available and differences of opinion about which are better in specific circumstances.
